Miguel Antonio plays at Lake Waukomis on Sunday, September 6. Event image shared by Miguel Antonio

Miguel Antonio is a Kansas City singing guitarist and songwriter whose solo and band sets mix familiar pop-rock covers with original music. His performer profile lists tours across the United States and the Middle East, an opening date for Jake Clemons, and VIP-stage appearances at Starlight during shows by the Goo Goo Dolls, The National, The Head and the Heart, Daughtry, and others.

Why it matters here: residents can hear an experienced touring performer in the small, casual setting of Lakeside @127 on Sunday, September 6, from 2-5 PM. Chicken bingo is part of the afternoon. Miguel Antonio and Jon Hart are hosting; check the event page before heading over if weather changes the plan.

A small board needs property-by-property comparisons, not a broad trend line.

What does this small September board mean for your home?

The useful answer comes from comparing your property with the few homes that truly match its water access, dock setup, location, size, condition, and updates.

Mackay Hall rose one stone at a time

Park students helped build the landmark above the river

Park College opened in 1875 with 17 students. Ground was broken for Mackay Hall in 1886, and the limestone landmark was completed in 1893.

Students quarried stone from the campus and helped build the hall as part of a program that let them work toward tuition. The result still stands above the Missouri River as the best-known silhouette on Park University's campus. See Park University's 150-year history.

Black cherry grows statewide and can reach about 60 feet. Its fruit ripens from August into September, when migrating birds and other wildlife are looking for dependable food.

Missouri Conservationist notes that 33 bird species eat the fruit, along with mammals including foxes, opossums, raccoons, rabbits, and squirrels. Mature bark changes from smooth reddish brown to dark, scaly plates. Read the MDC wild guide.
